What is Anthropology ?
The word comes from the Greek anthrôpos, humankind and logos, speech. Anthropology is the scientific study of humankind. Within it can be found several specialities that in the end overlap.
Ethnology mainly studies the cultures and traditions of a group of people or a population. Physical anthropology studies humankind from an anatomical point of view and biological anthropology studies the evolution of humankind and the changes from a cellular and molecular point of view.
These specialities must not be studied independently.
The evolution of humankind and his skeleton has been influenced by the environment and culture. It is also for this reason that human diversity is so rich and subject to numerous studies.
